Luka’s Story
Luka was struggling with fear-aggression for three years before coming to us. He would be happy and comfortable with some dogs, but would “go crazy” if he saw others (leaping in the air, swinging on his lead, and barking frantically).
He has been coming here for 7 months, and now Luka is a lot calmer. Walks are enjoyable again, and he’s formed an even closer bond with his family.
Breathing problems
Holly couldn’t breathe
Holly was in-and-out of emergency vets because it was so difficult for her to breathe. She saw a veterinary specialist for two years, but kept getting worse. Eventually, her vets said there was nothing they could do apart from surgery. Seeing as this wasn’t an option, they discharged her.
Then Holly came to see us, and her symptoms started to improve within a few days of treatment. Within a few months, everyone was commenting on how easily she could breathe, and how healthy she seemed. Two years on, Holly has a check-up every two months and continues to stay well.
Cancer
Ruby’s large liver mass
Ruby had a mass that took over one-third of her liver. Because she was so poorly, it’s unlikely that she would have survived surgery. Her vets said there was nothing that could be done, so they sent her home for end-of-life care.
By the time she came to us, Ruby was very lethargic and refusing to eat; her family thought she wouldn’t survive the weekend. However, Ruby’s appetite and energy levels returned. She was able to enjoy the final two years of her life, and spent her 14th birthday with her family.
Digestive issues
Rosie’s Continuous Squirts
Rosie had on-going diarrhoea since her puppy vaccinations. She was constantly at the vets for steroid injections, antibiotics and other medications. Nothing was helping, and she was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – a life-long condition. Her vets said that she would struggle with diarrhoea forever, and will need life-long medications.
That’s when Rosie came to see us, and we have been able to manage her diarrhoea successfully with herbs and acupuncture for the last three years.
Hormonal issues
Donna’s Cushings
Donna’s appetite and thirst had become insatiable. She was constantly begging for food, pacing through the kitchen, and restless at night. Normally, conventional vets would use life-long medications to help manage this.
However, Donna came straight to us. Her appetite, thirst and sleep all gradually improved with herbs and acupuncture (no conventional medications). Now she no longer begging or restless at night.
Incontinence
Love’s Bed Wetting
In 2025, Love suddenly started wetting the bed every night. She saw a specialist for imaging, and there was no sign of anything nefarious.
She then came to see us. After a week of being on herbs, she stopped wetting the bed entirely and has not wet the bed at all since starting treatment.
Kidney issues
Amber’s Dangerous Kidneys
About four years ago, Amber drank river water and spent four days in intensive care. The vets said that the river water had irreversibly damaged her kidneys, and she had about six months left to live. She was drinking a lot, refusing to eat, and all of her joints were swollen. Her primary vets had no way of treating her kidneys, so she was put onto steroids to make her more comfortable.
That’s when Amber came to see us. Her drinking and appetite returned to normal with herbs and acupuncture, and she can walk for miles again. Four years down the line, she continues to remain happy and healthy.
Neurological issues
Bruce Couldn’t Walk
Two years ago, Bruce suddenly couldn’t walk. His conventional vets thought it was an autoimmune issue, and put him on high steroid doses.
However, Bruce then came to see us. Within a month of holistic treatment, Bruce was already more mobile and energetic. Now, Bruce is walking normally, continues to get stronger, and no longer on steroids.
Painful joints
James’ Severe Hip Dysplasia
When James was just one year old, he had one of his hips removed and the other was replaced. His family did everything they could to help him cope – physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, laser therapy etc. Nothing seemed to help.
Then James came to see us. Now, he’s like a puppy again and gets regular zoomies – launching on the sofa, running up & down the stairs, and chasing things in the fields.
Skin issues
Rosie’s Itchy Paws
Rosie was biting her feet incessantly, making them very red and painful. She had to wear a cone constantly. Her conventional vets did not know exactly what the issues was, and wanted to put her on steroids.
That’s when she came to see us. Within a month of holistic treatment, she was hardly biting her feet at all. Now Rosie is much more comfortable and can enjoy life without a cone.
